The power was the empathy

Silence for those would’ve been wept for

Blind eye to those would’ve been seen

Deaf ear for those would’ve been heard

Arms folded for those would’ve been embraced

The power was the empathy

The quiet amongst the screams

The power was to feel, see, hear, embrace

To know their pain is shared pain

Is the world’s pain

Yet Love seems so distant

From the many professions

And the victim’s hearts still bleed

While they carry the burdens

Of those whose words say love, profess truth

But actions and announcements speak from the deep

Seek Love, Speak Love

Simply Love
